Wagner group leader involves in a plane crash.

 


Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of Russian mercenary organization, Wagner Group who led a failed rebellion against Putin’s Kremlin in June, has died in a plane crash, according to BBC news.

It’s believed that he was on board a private jet that crashed in Russia, killing all 10 people on board.

Russia's President, Vladimir Putin has since remained tight lipped about his death.

Why are Kenyans protesting?

  Kenya is in the grips of nationwide protests against some proposed draconian taxes, culminating in Tuesday's total shutdown of the country, which swiftly turned into anarchy as police used tear gas and live rounds on protesters. Though, this was supposed to be one of the peaceful processions the country has ever witnessed, things got escalated, which resulted in the death of some people, whilst several of them also sustained severe injuries. According to the head of the Kenya Medical Association, 13 people have  calamitously lost their lives. WHY ARE THE PEOPLE PROTESTING? The people are protesting against some nuisance taxes. Ghana's Parliament passes Anti-LGBTQ bill into law

 Ghana's Parliament on Wednesday,  28th February 2024 passed the Anti-LGBTQ bill into law. The bill seeks to uphold proper human sexual rights and Ghanaian family values, while prohibiting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and related activities. Persons who are found guilty or engaged in same sex activities will face a jail term ranging from six months to three years with a more severe punishment of three to five years for promoters and activities of LGBTQ rights. The bill, which  was sponsored by a group of leaders in Ghana is expected to be signed into law by the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.
