"With or Without loan, Uganda will develop ____Museveni told World bank

The Ugandan government led by President Yoweri Museveni is currently facing stiff opposition after it passed its Anti-gy law in May.

The world bank has said that it does not intend to send new loans or funds
to  the East African country on the grounds that the Anti-gay law contradicts its values.

Reacting to this, President Museveni stated categorically on Thursday that the world bank's decision to withdraw its financial aid to the country will not affect the people of Uganda in any way. He also opined that his administration will find alternative source of credit.

He's believed to have said, "Uganda will develop, with or without loans. It is therefore unfortunate that the world bank and other actors dare to want to coerce us into abandoning our faith, culture, principles, and sovereignty, using money. We do not need pressure from anybody to know how to solve problems in  our country ".
