President announces promotion of three Military Personnel

 







The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has on Friday, August 15, 2025 announced the promotion of three Military Personnel who were involved in the helicopter crashed.

 During his address at the state funeral ceremony of the eight fallen heroes at the Black Stars Square, Accra, the President opined that this promotion was necessary to honour these statements for their immensely contributions to the development of Ghana and humanity as a whole.

 Squadron Leader Anala, Flying Officer Twum and Sergeant Addo have all now being promoted to Wing Commander, Flight Lieutenant and Flight Sergeant respectively.

 On August 6, 2025, eight Ghanaian gallants patriots namely; Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala, Alhaji Limuni Muniru Mohammed, Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Mr. Samuel Aboagye, Squadron Leader Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum and Sergeant Ernest Addo lost their lives in a tragic helicopter crash.

 This tragic incident which has left the country in grief and in anguish pain happened at Adansi Akrofoum, a suburb in Kumasi when they were on a national assignment to educate and provide better alternatives to nip illegal mining in the bud.
