Alan kyeremanteng resigns

The minister for trade and industry, Mr. Alan Kyeremanteng has reportedly resigned after serving in the Akuffo Addo led administration since 2017.

What might have necessitated his action is still unknown. However, sources close to the minister indicates that the minister may have done this in order for him to be able to fully concentrate on his presidential ambition. Having served under his former boss since 2017, the 67-year-old made his first attempt to lead the party New Patriotic Party as its flagbearer in 2007 but failed in his bid as Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo emerged as the winner. Popularly known as Alan Cash, Mr. Kyeremanteng made other attempts in 2010 and 2014 but was unsuccessful.

According to citinewsroom.com, the minister tendered his resignation letter to the President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo on Thursday, January 5, 2023.
