Ken Ofori Atta appointed as caretaker of the trade Ministry


 The Minister for finance, Ken Ofori Atta has been appointed to act as a caretaker of the trade ministry, following the resignation of Alan Kyeremanten from the Akuffo Addo government. In a letter dated, 6th January,2022 and signed by Eugene Arhin. President Akuffo has accepted the resignation of the minister and thanked him for his services to his government and to the country. He also wished him well in his future endeavors. 

Ken Ofori Atta is currently the caretaker of the Ministry of Trade and Industries, pending the appointment of a new or substantive Minister. 

Mr. Kyeremanten is said to have tendered in his resignation on Thursday, January 5 to President Akuffo Addo. Mr. Kyeremanten has, in the past, contested the New Patriotic Party flagbearer ship race, losing on all occasions to Nana Akuffo Addo.
