Wagner group leader involves in a plane crash.

  Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of Russian mercenary organization, Wagner Group who led a failed rebellion against Putin’s Kremlin in June, has died in a plane crash, according to BBC news. It’s believed that he was on board a private jet that crashed in Russia, killing all 10 people on board. Russia's President, Vladimir Putin has since remained tight lipped about his death.

Niger's ousted president to be prosecuted for high treason.

     File: Ousted President, Mohamed Bazoum   The military junta that seized power in Niger in a July 26 coup said late on Sunday that ousted President could be prosecuted for high treason. The spokesperson for the junta, Colonel Amadou Abdrame said on state Tv that the leaders of the coup have gathered enough evidence to prosecute the deposed President, Mohamed Bazoum for high treason. Mr. Mohamed Bazoum has been held at the Presidential palace in Niamey together with his wife and son since mutinous soldiers moved against him on July 26. According to source, the family is currently living without electricity and only has rice and canned goods left to eat. Source: BBC News 📰

"With or Without loan, Uganda will develop ____Museveni told World bank

The Ugandan government led by President Yoweri Museveni is currently facing stiff opposition after it passed its Anti-gy law in May. The world bank has said that it does not intend to send new loans or funds to  the East African country on the grounds that the Anti-gay law contradicts its values. Reacting to this, President Museveni stated categorically on Thursday that the world bank's decision to withdraw its financial aid to the country will not affect the people of Uganda in any way. He also opined that his administration will find alternative source of credit. He's believed to have said, "Uganda will develop, with or without loans. It is therefore unfortunate that the world bank and other actors dare to want to coerce us into abandoning our faith, culture, principles, and sovereignty, using money. We do not need pressure from anybody to know how to solve problems in  our country ".

Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Performs First Kidney Transplant

The Ghanaian team, including specialist doctors, nurses and anesthetists, performed the procedures on July 4 and 5, this year, and the patients, both of them males, are currently recovering at the facility. Their donors, who are females, are also doing well and have so far been discharged. Two foreigners, a theatre technician and a transplant surgeon, were available as confidence boosters for the team. Each surgery is estimated to cost $21,000. The surgeries were sponsored by the First Sky Group, an indigenous private company.
